It looks like the Commonwealth will finally see sales of (federally legal) hemp in (federally illegal) cannabis shops! it only took (1) a piece of legislation, (2) some MDAR policy changes, and (3) some CCC policy changes.
It looks like the agencies found a path to selling hemp flower in marijuana retail stores by calling it marijuana, not hemp (but hemp will be listed on the ingredient label).
This is new territory for everyone, so be sure you’re maintaining compliance with labels, packaging, testing, COAs, tracking, etc.
Side note: Be aware that MDAR currently does NOT permit hemp-derived delta-8 THC products to be processed or sold in Massachusetts.
